PACT - Perth Action of Churches Together
PACT is an ecumenical body with representatives from over 20 churches and Christian communities from Perth and the surrounding area.
Probably our most high profile activities are those where we worship together, with our Annual Christmas Carol Service, Good Friday Walk of Witness in the City Centre and our Easter Dawn Service at Quarrymill. We also run ecumenical Bible studies during Lent.
PACT also responds to identified needs within the community. Organisations like Churches Action for the Homeless and Starter Packs began from the churches' initiatives. We take a keen interest in the Perth and Kinross Foodbank, and Street Pastors. We encourage members of our churches to support all of these organisations and more with their time and skills.
We believe that, as representatives of the various Christian denominations in Perth, what unites us is more important than what divides us, and we rejoice in the shared witness we can make to our local community.
